This is after MPs from CORD’s side put the leader of majority, Aden Duale, on the defense to explain why the Deputy President chose to hire a private jet worth sh100 million of taxpayers’ money while the Presidential Jet was just lying idle.

They also wanted to know whether Ruto’s African trip was necessary and the criteria he used to select the delegation that accompanied him.

Led by Ugenya MP David Ouma, MPs accused William Ruto of stealing publicly from the poor Kenyans even before his 100 days in office elapse.

He wondered why Ruto could not have used the same means of transport used by former Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka during his shuttle diplomacy where he used only sh31 million despite visiting several African countries.

Sources from parliament indicate that Namwamba’s team was putting together very crucial evidence and information regarding Ruto’s African trip that will help nail the Deputy President.

Ruto has so far denied using sh100 million for the trip saying he only used sh18.5 million to visit Ghana, Algeria, Congo Nigeria, Congo and Gabon.
